However, while the Toyota Hilux is going gangbusters in Australia to break the record of being the first best-selling ute, in America the opposite has happened to the Ford F-Series. Holden will produce diesel and hybrid Commodores that will come to market as quickly as 2010. Mitsubishi has taken delivery of the new GLX Triton 2.5-litre Common Rail Direct Injection turbo diesel, and Ssangyong has launched a new model in its Sports Dual Cab range – the Tradie.
